A big part of the reason Pride of the Terraces was created was to show LGBT+ people that it’s absolutely possible to play sport at any level. Through interviews and putting people’s stories out there, it’s easy to see that there are so many different ways to get involved, and luckily the vast majority of stories on this site are positive ones.

It’s not always as straightforward as that though. For some, it’s a real struggle to accept themselves, tell other people and know what is possible. This is a space where some of those big questions that could be going through LGBT+ people’s minds can be answered by sportspeople already out there doing it in a slightly more succinct format than the long-read articles detailing their journeys so far.
